In this weeks Premier Division Penlan ‘C’ and Ammanford ‘A’ fought out an exciting 18-18 draw, Martin Gunn winning 9-0 for Penlan before teaming up with Kevin Gertsen to win the final doubles match 3-2 to secure the draw. Leaders Penlan ‘D’ defeated Carmarthen ‘B’ 30-2.
Third place Penlan ‘A’ beat Penlan ‘B’ 28-9 with Neil Page winning 9-1 and Ceri James 9-2.
Carmarthen ‘A’ defeated Carmarthen ‘C’ 25-16 thanks to Sven Severyns winning 9-1.
New Division One leaders Ammanford ‘B’ had a mixed week, losing 26-10 to Penlan ‘F’ before defeating Penyrheol ‘B’ 25-18 with Mike Towell winning 9-3. Cam/Cabin ‘A’ maintained their challenge by defeating Carmarthen ‘D’ 27-6, Doug Smith winning 9-0 and David Davies 9-2. Cam/Cabin ‘B’ beat Friends of the Young Disabled ‘A’ 28-13 with Graham Butler winning 9-2.
Division Two leaders Penlan ‘K’ beat Port Talbot ‘B’ 25-14 with John Davies winning 9-0 and Frank Smallwood 7-5. Carmarthen ‘F’ beat Dillwyn Llewelyn ‘B’ 26-12, John Finnemore leading the way winning 9-0.Penlan ‘L’ beat Penlan ‘J’ 27-12 with Steven Coope winning 9-2 and Keith Baker 9-3. Penyrheol ‘C’ narrowly defeated Penlan ‘J’ 22-20 thanks to Graham Rees winning 9-2.

Draw for the Tudor Jones Cup Round Three – Ammanford ‘B’ (scr) v Penlan ‘G’ (scr), Penyrheol ‘A’ v Carmarthen ‘F’ (+10), Port Talbot ‘B’ v Dillwyn Llewelyn ‘B’ (+4), Ty Gwyn (+15) v Penlan ‘D’, Penlan ‘C’ v Jerusalem Baptist Church (+14), Penlan ‘N’ (+8) v Carmarthen ‘E’, Penlan ‘K’ (+7) v Carmarthen ‘D’, Penlan ‘L’ v Penlan ‘M’ (+7).

This seasons Swansea Closed Championships will be held at Morriston Leisure Centre on March 18th and 19th, entry forms can be obtained from Mary Wilkins on Swansea 842917.
