<i><b><span style="color: orange;">Lawrence John beat all before him in the team and singles, whilst Conor Edwards got an individual silver losing to Helshan Weerasinghe. Cellan Hall and Ashley Wray took team silver with Lawrence and individual bronzes themselves. The boys team took a bronze on Friday/Saturday after some impressive wins. The girls fought hard to get 5th spot in their event</span></b></i></div>

<i><b><span style="color: orange;">There were 3 categories Standing Learning and Wheelchair, Lawrence John Standing, Ashley Wray Learning and Cellan Hall Wheelchair. Each Team Match consisted of 3 individual matches best of 5 games. Order of play Standing Learning and then Wheelchair Disability.</span></b></i></div>

<i><b><span style="color: orange;">Lawrence John was the star of the show not losing a game throughout the event which showed great determination for his first School Games. He certainly made his mark amongst his opposition. His only 1 set dropped was against England South West's Billy Shilton who was fired up for the game but Lawrence secured defeat 11-7 11-7 8-11 11-9. Lawrence was to meet Billy in the final of the individual event which he secured his 2nd medal of the competition.<br />The decider for Gold or Silver was a match against England Midland. Lawrence opened the book with a convincing win 11-6 11-6 11-2 over Craig Allen. Ashley feeling the pressure of the crowd unfortunately went down 11-7 11-4 11-8. It was then down to Cellan Hall to win the Gold for Wales against a tough competitor and fellow friend Daniel Bullen, The first game went to Daniel 11-8, Cellan pulled back with a 15-13 win in the second. Daniel then won a close third game battle 13-11. The crowd were behind both teams and it was a great atmosphere but unfortunately for Wales Cellan lost the fourth 11-5. A great team performance throughout but we couldn't quite step up to the occasion. It was a great game to watch but Wales had to settle for Silver.</span></b></i></div>

John was awarded the TTW Young Player of the Year at the TTW Annual Awards 2013.

Castro was the winner of the TTW West Regional Player of the Year. Congratulations
to both players who have worked very hard this season.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Report. Due to holidays I was absent for the tournament Larry Hursey and Dennis
Bromage took the lead with the team, I would like to thank them for they’re
support on what was a successful event for the young players.  Overall in the team event we finished third
so it was a Bronze Medal for us. Lots of feedback from Dennis and Larry on what
we need to work on to improve.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

successful in winning gold in the singles event, Marc Castro winning joint Bronze
in the boy’s singles.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Congratulations to Lydia who has had a
busy summer with Training and Competition Camps throughout.  Her hard work and determination is proving
successful and we are hoping for more successes from in the new season.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

the 9<sup>th</sup> September with the groups being split over a 3 hour time
slot. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Lawrence John has also had a busy
summer training in Hamburg with 2 other welsh players, Lawrence enjoyed the
experience and is currently away in Slovenia at the moment, so no break this
summer.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">The region has maintained its focus
with training on a weekly basis in Swansea, we have also had a camp in Mumbles
where Aled Howell brought players from over the bridge to train with us.  This was an enjoyable experience with our
warm ups along the promenade.  <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Matthew Francis was also training hard,
along with Lydia John they represented Wales in the European Mini Championship,
which was held in France this is the first time Wales has entered teams and I
think it was a valuable experience for us to see the bigger picture.    <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Penlan & Penyrheol clubs have
proved successful through the summer months with lots of players attending to
keep the focus, Mumbles has also continued to run its Summer Girls Club with
the addition of Brothers of the girls who also fancied they’re chances against
their sisters.  <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">The regions School programme is also
set to re start with the assistance of a LAPA Grant being approved by Swansea
City Council, meetings to discuss this are being held over the next few weeks.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman";">The Premier League Football and Swansea
City Football Club have also chosen Table Tennis to run a programme for
Secondary School Children in Swansea to feed our local clubs with new talent,
details of this are currently in the processing stages.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

organized by Dennis Bromage has been successful with our top youngsters
competing again our top Premier League Players current standings are 1st Josh
Jenkins, 2nd Dave Lloyd, 3rd Dennis Bromage, 4<sup>th</sup> Marc Castro, 5th
Paul Karabadak, 6<sup>th</sup> Scott Cundy, 7<sup>th</sup> Jason Peckham 8<sup>th</sup>
Lawrence John 9<sup>th</sup> James Lobb, 10<sup>th</sup> Steffan
Griffiths.  Great to see our young talent
competing and gaining experience from these games.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

the 21<sup>st</sup> July Lara Whitton and Grace Clement competed in the Eupal
Dragon Tournament in Ael y Bryn Club, Lara won the under 9’s event and came in
a close 2<sup>nd</sup> place in the under 11’s. 
Grace not far behind with her 5<sup>th</sup> place in both events. Well
done to both players.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
