Tommy had his chances after the first set but Jac's experience shined through to narrowly defeat Tommy. Tommy beat Marc Castro in the semi final. Charlotte Slye ran out winner in the U13 girl's event by defeating Denbigh's Victoria Brookes in the last match. Luca Caplin, Liam Taylor, Marc Castro and Jake Simeone played exceptionally well. Caplin Accels in Burton!

<span style="font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT, helvetica, arial, sans serif; font-size: 12px;">This weekend saw another Burton/Uxbridge 1* tournament with Luca Caplin of Mumbles Table Tennis Club the only Welsh player making the journey on this occasion.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT, helvetica, arial, sans serif; font-size: 12px;"><br />The day kicked off with the U11. In the group stages Luca put on a fine display in a series of tight matches winning 3-1, 3-1, 3-0, only losing out to the no. 1 seed and highly ranked English player Sam Walsh. In the semi-finals in the knockout stages Luca produced his best performance but couldn’t overcome the eventual winner Tom McIntosh.<br /> <br />In the U13 Luca played some great table tennis and gained valuable experience but couldn’t match the older boys and went out in the quarter finals of the consolation event.<br /> <br />Overall a good day at the table and great experience for this young up and coming player.<br /> <br /> </span><br /> <span style="font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT, helvetica, arial, sans serif; font-size: 12px;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> <img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5200/7206051148_28538a189b.jpg" /></div> <br /> </span>
