Freezing conditions didn’t put the players off at the seasons 3rd dragon tournament held on the 18th of December. 19 under 11s arrived at 9am and battled it out for the trophies. However there were no surprises at this dragon as Jake Simeone from Mumbles TTC won his second under 11 dragon with team mate Luca Caplin coming runner up, with Cade Short 3rd.

In the under 15s the winner was Huw Standen and runner up was Macauley Morgan.

16 under 13s took part in their event which started at 1pm. The event being wide open as none of the top 3 finishers from Novembers dragon had entered. A truly exciting event ensured, the final top group saw 3 players on 2 wins each. Countback was used to separate the top 3, leaving an unlucky Niall Owen 3rd, Morgan Hams runner up and Elliot Weinberg in 1st place.

The dragon format will change in 2012, with a new under 9 age group (under 9 years of age on 31st Aug 2011), thereby reflecting the large numbers of younger players coming through the Primary Schools initiatives funded by TTAW.
