In this weeks Premier Division Penyrheol ‘A’ secured a 22-14 victory over third place Penlan ‘C’ despite Martin Gunn winning 9-2 for the losers. Leaders Penlan ‘D’ beat Carmarthen ‘A’ 27-8 with Dean Cundy winning 9-0 and Scott Cundy 9-2. Carmarthen ‘C’ defeated Penlan ‘E’ 28-10 with David Lloyd winning 9-1 and Alan Griffiths 9-3.
In Division One Llanelli and Friends of the Young Disabled ‘A’ fought out an exciting 18-18 draw, Adam Morgan and Micky Cullen winning the final doubles match 3-0 to level the scores, Adam Morgan had match figures of 9-0. Congratulations to Port Talbot ‘A’ who gained their first victory of the season when narrowly defeating Penlan ‘F’ by 21-20, the match was decided when Bill Haddon and Kean Pac won the doubles 3-2 securing victory for Port Talbot, Tony Holt winning 9-3 for the losers. Carmarthen ‘D’ beat Penyrheol ‘B’ 20-17 despite Daniel Moore winning 9-2 for the losers. Cam/Cabin moved into second place after defeating Penlan ‘H’ 30-6.
Division Two leaders Carmarthen ‘E’ beat Penlan ‘K’ 24-11, Andrew Joules leading the way winning 9-3. Dillwyn Llewelyn ‘A’ kept up the pressure on the top teams after defeating Penyrheol ‘C’ 23-16 with Nick Couling winning 8-3, Sam Childs winning 9-4 for the losers, Dillwyn then defeated Penlan ‘J’ 23-12 with Nick Couling winning 9-0.
Penlan ‘L’ secured a narrow 23-20 victory over Penyrheol ‘C’ thanks to Stephen Coope who won 9-4. The closest match of the week saw Dillwyn Llewelyn ‘B’ and Jerusalem Baptist Church fight out an exciting 19-19 draw, Mary Wilkins and Gaynor Griffiths winning the doubles 3-2 to secure the draw for Dillwyn, Jeff Wood winning 9-2 for Jerusalem.
Division Three leaders Penlan ‘N’ gained a comfortable 30-2 victory over Port Talbot ‘C’.
