With all of Bettys achievements over the years the area she lives held a day in the local community hall to recognise all the great work she has done. From the turn out on the day it was easy to see how popular Betty is and how many people she has helped over the years. In the picture below this is just a small amount of trophies she has one from all over the world.
Recently, Betty walked with the Olympic Torch through her hometown Swansea. Roy Towell (Pictured with Betty) helps Betty on both a Friday and Sunday night in Penlan Club. The partnership have brought through a number of Welsh Champions and Welsh Internationals and are still generating a great deal more.
