With a number of coaches on show again with Joe Morris, Dennis Bromage, Jason Peckham, David Short and Judith Witton the kids had a great opportunity to pick up some tips.<br /><br />Well done to all the kids who showed great work rate throughout the day with smiles all round.<br /><br />Big thank you goes to all the coaches for all there help and well done to the kids for a very enjoyable day.</div>

Development day in Cardiff

The first TTAW development day took place today in Cardiff with an age range from 5 years old up to 13 years old taking part.<br /><br />With the groups split into 3 categories of 5-7yrs, 8-11 yrs and 12-14yrs respectively. Each group had older Welsh International and club coaches practicing with them.<br /><br />Steffan Griffiths of Carmarthen and Harry Langley of Penlan attended the day. This was a great chance for the West Wales youngesters to pay against those who are part of the Welsh squad. Coach Scott Johnston praised the boys on there hard work throughout the day so well done boys keep up the good work.<br /><br />Ryan Oyler, Conor Edwards, Dayna Pierce, Nicole Hall, Rachel Cuss, Dan O'Connell and Steve Fawkes gave up their Sunday morning to help with the session which was great and shows their respect in helping younger players in Wales.<br /><br />Players came from Rhondda, Cardiff, Carmarthen, Swansea, Ael y Bryn, Blaenavon, Pontypridd, Merthyr & Bridgend<br /><br />Scott Johnston, Steve Jenkins and Nathan Thomas were there as coaches along with myself.<br /><br />This will now be a monthly event and letters will go out shortly for the August development day.

British Schools

<div>Team Wales travelled to Lilleshall National Centre to play the British Schools Championships from Friday 24th-26th June.<br /><br />Wales won a number of medals, One of which was Gold won by the Welsh Young Talent of Charlotte Carey who held her nerves and fought back from 2-1 and 10-7 down to Yolanda King to take the 4th set 12-10 and pushed on to win a 5th set thriller to clinch the title for the second year in a row.<br /><br />In the senior Girls final another Welsh representative was Angharad Phillips coached by Aled Howell. Angharad met her twin sister Megan in the semis then Emily Bates of England in the Finals. On this occasion it was not Angharad walking away with the gold but it was a very good weekend for the twins from North Wales.
